PREGNANCY AND DENTAL CARE.❤️
A new journey for a woman as she embarks on a new milestone of her life!! 👣👣
But small tips and precautions would definitely make this journey comfortable.🤱
A human body undergoes a lot of changes during pregnancy and that leads to a lot of physically, emotionally and mentally..
Hormonal changes tend to allow a lot of oral and dental changes during this phase that would lead to new oral conditions that are treatable but under limited conditions by the doctor.
Before pregnancy.. make sure all your dental issues are addressed and treated so that you would not have to go through any peak episodes of pain during your 9months of pregnancy.
✔️Never skip your dental visits even during pregnancy...
✔️Always keep yourself hydrated and maintain good oral hygiene measures.
✔️Do not fail to get your periodic teeth cleaning procedures as these can avoid a lot of gums issues ( very common during pregnancy).
✔️Always keep your dentist informed about pregnancy and seek your gynaecologists advise before dental treatments.
✔️REMEMBER :
Dental treatments can be done during pregnancy!!
Second trimester ( 4 to 6 month) is safe for performing dental treatments.
Because:
During 1st 3 months, the baby's there is development of organs happening and baby .. NO X rays during this period!!
The last 3 months , uterus is very sensitive to external stimuli and an hazard for premature delivery.
✔️However, any emergency treatments acn always be conducted and your dentist will take care of the situation.
Hope that was helpful!!☺️☺️

Any habit to put to practice takes about 21 days!! Yes, heard of it right.. thr 21 day habit theory was first introduced by Dr Maxwell Maltz, a plastic surgeon.. He discovered that a patient who had for example a face operation would.take 31 days to get used to seeing their new face.
Also he had mentioned about this in a self help book by Dr Maxwell, called "Psycho cybernatics, A new way to get more living out of life",
Also Wendy wood, a psychologist from university of southern california has reffed to this in his studies about the way habits guide our behaviour.
So let's do something healthy to keep it health in well being this quarantine time..
So although the methods of maintaining oral hygiene take time to adapt the right techniques to practice.. now is the time you can practice it well without complaints!!
Go for it guys..
I wil be sharing informative texts and videos that u can follow to practice the right method of brushing, flossing.etc.
Stay healthy, stay safe.. practice social distancing..

Exposed root surface of lower front teeth!
Generally addressed as gingival recession., This can be corrected or surgically treated by periodontal plastic surgery, called root coverage procedure.
In this case of a young female patient root coverage procedure has been done using a connective tissue graft.
And the results speaks all..
