Raison d’etre of CV Hydro’s existence

The author behind the thought of creating a new entity carved out of years of experience and knowledge in the field of soilless cultivation in the Indian Sub-continent is Lt Cdr CV Prakash (veteran) and a pioneer in Indian Hydroponics.

CV over the years, through his personal experiences witnessed several pitfalls in the practice of soilless cultivation in India. His realisation has been that most people think this is a push-button technology and its all about IOT/AI/Sensors and Apps that makes growing crops of all kinds a breeze.

There is a lot of wrong information being spread by individuals and companies who have sparse knowledge of the subject and they often advertently or inadvertently mislead the one totally ignorant of this wonderful science. A lot of teachers have sprung up all over the country in the past two years and they use teaching as an alibi for selling dreams and equipment to hapless gullible people.

Dreams of get-rich-quick schemes are being shown on excel sheets and ROI’s being promised within a year or less. The ones who see just the money and believe in such promises are often the ones who end up burning huge holes in their pockets.

Myths such as ‘Hydroponics produces 10-20 times more yields’, No chemical pesticides are required’, ‘Hydroponic produce grows ten times more faster meaning multiple crops per year’, and so on are being peddled. Such statements get the new aspirants so excited that they pour all their hard earned savings into projects and lose real big.

Having seen the industry up and closely for several years, CV understood that although most of the technology and equipment is available in India what is lacking strong knowledge of horticultural skills.

CV Hydro has thus moved into Bengaluru, the knowledge capital of India since 16th of Sep 2019 with its intensive, authentic and real skill-building courses that range from 7 to 45 to 90 days. The aspiring student can join at any time of the year as per his/her convenience and complete the same with a certificate provided we are convinced he has learn to a high degree of confidence.

Our training program is highly intensive and we demand that the students put in hard work and learn with great deal of sincerity.

We firmly believe in the dictum “No Skill, No Thrill”.

CV Hydro is also runs an online store to sell inexpensive, entry level authentic kit and kaboodle for beginners.

CV Hydro is also a Turnkey Consulting company for those who wish to do commercial soilless cultivation projects.

CV Hydro also conducts one-day introductory workshop that helps aspiring newbies to decide if it’s the right field for them based on their unique circumstances. After a whole 7-1/2 hours of being explained the reality of the science certain students who came with different ideas gleaned from people and the internet have their cobwebs cleared, myths busted and paradigms shifted. Many students thank us for given them clarity in making an informed decision of ‘to be, or not to be’.

In a nutshell, CV Hydro wishes to train students to be confident by the end of their course and as per the format of that course. We wish to give the nation authentic skilled growers who can make a lofty contribution to our country.
