𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗮'𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲 (𝟭𝟱/𝟭𝟭/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰)
A workshop titled “𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲” was successfully conducted at Alva’s College, Moodubidire, Karnataka on November 15, 2024. This workshop introduced the tools and techniques for monitoring the impact of climate change on the environment and society to the selected 60 college students (student-scientists) form Alva’s College. They were also given training in guiding school children to conduct research activities related to climate change. Prof. P.G. Diwakar, Mr. Vivek Alava, Dr. V V Binoy, Paul Joshi, Priyanka, Dr. Dattatreya, and Dr. Vinay interacted with the student-scientists.

Students (from both schools and colleges), research scholars, and professionals discussed the impact of climate change on coastal ecosystems and coastal communities, and the role a network of 'student scientists' could play in generating grassroots-level data for designing mitigation strategies
