As Asia’s biggest Spoken Fest, inched towards its finale last night, I was getting overwhelmed sitting on those grounds. My journey with this festival flashing past me like a montage. From being in the audience for every single edition right from the first one (2017) to being up on the stage for four in Mumbai (Delhi), how much every edition helped me grow as a person, as an artist.

In this Mayanagri, where you and your craft can easily get lost, to have found this festival that showcases the best from across the globe and a - the woman who comes with no frills, can give you the curtest feedbacks, can make you cut your stories brutally to the bone that it is only when you are delivering them up on stage and taking the audience along that you realise how much her objective critique has helped you enjoy relive your own story.

As ‘s story touched a raw nerve, I saw myself just brimming over with so many emotions, wading through that sea of humanity hunting to hug Tess for what she does and how .. every single time.

I’m not sure what to call you - a mentor, a friend, a sounding board, a hard task master, khaleesi 😉
