SDM Jammu South Sh Atul Dutt Sharma which was headed by Chairman Sham Lal Gupta, of Anti Crime Team.

Gupta Welcomed Atul Sharma with Bouquet of flowers and Congratulated him on assuming office, Gupta informed him about the work, law and order of Bishnah town, Gupta told that Bishnah Town always Cooperates with the admin and Many Big festival's Completes with good thinking and good work.

Gupta told that his organization believes in helping the poor and needy people and from time to time works are done by the organization for the benefit of the society like providing ration to the people, school bags, notebooks, books to the school children, shoes are given so that the government school can be promoted.

SDM Atul Sharma appreciated the chairman of the organization Sham Lal Gupta and his works, he said that there should be such people in the society who can provide all possible help to the needy people.

SDM Atul Sharma assured that he will be involved in the work of the organization and will cooperate with the children studying in Government schools.

*War against drugs continues*
*Police arrests 9 drug smugglers in Baramulla;*

_1.78 Kgs of He**in, cash worth 69.20 lacs recovered_

Continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police in Baramulla in a major breakthrough arrested 9 drug smugglers and recovered 1.78 kgs of contraband He**in like substance alongwith cash amounting ₹69.20 Lacs from Na**la, Isham & Bandi Uri areas of Baramulla. This seizure represents a significant blow to the narcotics trade network operating in the Baramulla area.

At Na**la Uri, a specific information was received by police regarding smuggling of narcotics by Irfan Ahmad Najar son of Noor Din Najar, Mehmooda Begum wife of Irfan Ahmad Najar & Ghulam Rasool Sheikh, all residents of Na**la Uri. Acting swiftly, police under the supervision of SDPO Uri Shri Shokat Ali-JKPS assisted by SHO PS Uri Inspr Mohd Shafi, alongwith Magistrate conducted the search of the house of Irfan Ahmad Najar. During search of the house, 490 grams of contraband He**in like substance and cash amounting ₹6,45,200/- was recovered from the possession of Irfan Ahmad and his wife Mehmooda Begum.

Furthermore, on their disclosure, house of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh son of Noor Din Sheikh resident of Na**la-A was searched and during search contraband he**in like substance weighing 520 grams and cash amounting to ₹5,79,500 rupees was seized on spot in presence of magistrate. Moreover, during sustained questioning and on their disclosure, house of Mohd Subhan Dar son of Abdul Aziz Dar resident of Hathlanga was also searched and contraband He**in like substance weighing 420 grams and cash amounting to ₹56,95,600 rupees was seized in presence of Magistrate.

In total, contraband He**in like substance weighing 1.430 Kilograms was recovered and cash amounting to ₹69,20,300/- as proceeds of drugs smuggling was recovered.

■Rafique Rather condoles the sad demise of his father in law■

In a condolence message Former president EJAC and Spokesperson JK Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mohd Rafique Rather has expressed grief and sorrow on the sad demise of Father in-law of senior EJAC leader and president Medical Education Federation ( MEF)Shabir Ahmad langoo.

Rafique Rather said that "im personally grieved on the loss of father in law of dear friend Shabir Ahmad Langoo, with whom i have a long association of more ten two decades, and added that his contribution in employees moment can not be undermined.
Rafique Rather said that he on behalf of his party JKPDP leadership and cadre offer condolences and extend solidarity to bereaved family in particular to Shabir Ahmad Langoo and his spouse.
