1. Major blood vessels are of two types; arteries and veins. Whereas arteries divide themselves into thin capilaries which open in veins.
2. Vessels arising from heart are arteries whereas veins open in the heart.
3. Arteries contain pure blood except pulmonary artery.
4. Veins contain impure blood except pulmonary vein.
5. Arteries are present in deep tissues of body whereas veins are present on the surface of body.
6. Arteries are thick vessels and posses high blood pressure as compared to veins.
7. Aorta is the largest artery of body.
8. Vena Cava is the largest vein of body.
9. Capillary are the small arteries supplying blood to tissues of body and open in the veins superficially.
10. Human blood circulatory system is closed type.
