You know, life gives you frequent punches, now and then. Sometimes the punch hits real hard. For me, that blow was in my 6th standard. I failed Mathematics and English Exam.

CBSE Board is not at all difficult, especially for a late 90s kid, who was blessed with the grading system.
English subject is designed in a way that toppers lose their precious 1 marks and the average and below-average kids don’t go too low.

Even in such a well-guarded subject like English, I failed.

I was an aware kid. I knew I had to earn in my adulthood. And for some reason, it was in my mind, that if I don’t devote myself to something, I may not be successful when I grow up. That’s when I started researching what I wanted to become when I grow up.

Random researching got me to the profession of CA.

I started asking adults about this profession. And it seemed pretty golden, royal and rich.

After that day, whenever someone asked me “What you want to become when you grow up?” I’d proudly say Chartered Accountant. And I’ll always get good nods in return validating my choice of profession.

Meet CA Devansh Suhasaria who is currently working in Ernst and Young as a Senior Executive. He is our mentor for this week. 😇

When I first listened to the song Afreen, it blew my mind. The high notes were so smooth. It seemed like my mind is humming without even knowing the tune. It felt magical. Since then I listen to this song daily. It is my favourite song. I wish I could sing it someday.
During my exams I used to bribe myself to complete a topic with this song. Once after completing some topic in accountancy, I ended up listening to music for 2 hours straight. Double the time I take to complete a topic.😌
I wish to learn all the instruments. Music brings me to life. It is my happy pill. If I am not listening to music, I am either painting or sleeping. I am highly passionate about sleeping as well.
Whenever my friends discuss about gifting me something they talk about pillows.
I want to pursue music. It gives me happiness. Though I really don’t know the path, but I am pretty sure I will figure it out!

My exams got cancelled due to Coronavirus. It is like Sunday everyday. I cycle everyday. Mum has asked me not to cross this street.
So I go round and round from that house to this ground.
At home I have started painting and also mum got me a calligraphy book. I have promised mum that I will improve my handwriting before school starts.
I want to do so much. Like yesterday papa got me an encyclopaedia book. It says that Earth was a fireball. Just imagine our Earrh was a burning ball once. So fascinating!! I want to read all about it.
I have to go now. Mum is waiting for me.
