In a natural environment and in an artificial laboratory medium, bacteria shows a typical growth pattern, it is called the batch growth curve. We generally observed five distinct phages of bacterial growth. At first, they adapt to the new environment and, then they start growing exponentially. When critical cell density reaches, they stop growing and cell numbers remain nearly constant. Finally, they start dying, because of toxic end product accumulation.
