Gmail Fails Hacking Test; Hacked 92 Per Cent Successfully

Android, Windows and iOS operating systems in mobile platforms are not at all flawless, and it's been proved by a group of researchers. The team have identified a fault is these systems which allowed them to hack several apps and their success rate estimated around 82-92 per cent. Among the hacked apps, one of the most important and used one, Gmail, was also present.

Researchers were 92 per cent successful in hacking Gmail, followed by WebMD (85 per cent), CHASE Bank (83 per cent) and H&R Block was equal to Gmail with 92 per cent. So these apps have been identified as 'easy to be hacked'. Amazon fared better in the hacking test with only 48 per cent success rate, and researchers found it difficult to hack. Now researchers will move towards other operating systems using a key feature that's common for all of them.

However, they have not tested their program on other systems yet. Zhiyun Qian, the author of the research paper, has disclosed that there are two keys to the attack. One of them is that the attack needs to take place at that particular moment when the user is logging into the app. Secondly, the attack is always done in an unnoticeable way and the attack timing should be calculated in a proper way.
