Department of History, University, Cuttack is hosting the 74th session of the Indian History Congress ( ) from 28–30 December 2013.

3 days, 2000 historians, 7 parallel sessions, 1200 presentations, 2 theme-based symposiums, 3 special lectures and evenings of engaging deliberations. Eminent historians and academics like Romila Thapar, Irfan Habib, Bipan Chandra, Akeel Bilgrami and Herman Kulke, to name a few, are likely to participate in the Congress.
