JICA Uttarakhand Forest Disaster Management Project

UFRMP and TCP jointly organised a technical workshop on 15-16 December to share experiences from the Project. The focus was on disseminating technical issues in implementing erosion control works with various stakeholders in the state of Uttarakhand.
On the first day, an in-house session was held in the auditorium at ONGC Dehradun. We made presentations on the idea of introducing erosion control works in Uttarakhand, the application of erosion control works, safety consideration for the same, and deliverables on the Project activities.
We also had two presentations on:
• Slope Stability Assessment and Strategies for Mitigation Measures by Dr. Shantanu Sarkar, Director, Uttarakhand Landslide Mitigation & Management Centre (ULMMC),
• Understanding a Slow-moving, Deep-Seated Landslide from the Joshimath Disaster, a Not So Common Landslide Phenomena, by Dr. Swapnamita Vaideswaran, Scientist, Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology.
On the second day, we visited two sites – Nirgad, which is a model site, and the Raipur site, which is one of the candidate sites -- to better explain the application of erosion control technology on site. Active discussions took place in the presence of the actual site where countermeasures are being created.
It was an extremely fruitful opportunity for Project members as well, to showcase what we have done and to get feedback on the work.

UFRMPとTCPは、12月15日、16日の2日間にわたり、Technical Work Shopを開催し、プロジェクトの経験について参加者と共有しました。今回は、ウッタラーカンド州内の様々な機関の関係者に対し、治山工事を実施する際の、技術的問題を広めることに重点を置きました。
初日は、ONGC内の講堂で、室内セッションを開催しました。同州における治山工事導入における考え方、治山工事の適用、安全性への配慮、プロジェクトの成果品などについて、プレゼンテーションを行いました。
また、以下２点のプレゼンテーションも発表されました。
・斜面の安定性評価と緩和に関する検討（Dr. Shankar Sarkar、ウッタラーカンド州地滑り緩和・管理センター（ULMMC））
・ジョシマート災害における深層地すべり（Dr. Swapnamita Vadeswaran、ワディアヒマラヤ地質研究所）
二日目は、モデルサイトの一つであるNirgadサイトと、キャンディデートサイトの一つであるRaipurサイトの2サイトを実際に視察し、治山技術の現地適用について説明をしました。
特に現地視察においては、実際の現場の状況や対策を紹介し、より活発な議論が行われました。プロジェクトメンバーにとっても、これまでのプロジェクトでの成果を披露し、それに対するフィードバックを得ることとなり、大変有意義な機会になりました。

UFRMPऔर TCP ने संयुक्त रूप से परियोजना के अनुभवों को साझा करने के लिए 15-16 दिसंबर को एक तकनीकी कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया। उत्तराखंड राज्य में विभिन्न हित धारकों के साथ कटाव नियंत्रण कार्यों को लागू करने में तकनीकी मुद्दों को प्रसारित करने पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया गया था।
पहले दिन देहरादून स्थित ONGC सभागार में इन-हाउस सेशन का आयोजन किया गया। हमने उत्तराखंड में कटाव नियंत्रण कार्यों को शुरू करने, कटाव नियंत्रण कार्यों के अनुप्रयोग, इसके लिए सुरक्षा पर विचार और परियोजना गतिविधियों पर वितरण के विचार पर प्रस्तुतियां दीं।
हमने इस पर दो प्रस्तुतियां भी दीं:

दूसरे दिन, हमने दो साइटों का दौरा किया - नीरगाड, जो एक मॉडल साइट है, और रायपुर साइट, जो कैंडिडेट साइटों में से एक हैI यह दौरा हमनें साइट पर कटाव नियंत्रण तकनीक के अनुप्रयोग को बेहतर ढंग से समझाने के लिए किया । साइट पर सक्रिय विचार-विमर्श हुआ जहां काउंटरमेजर किए जा रहे हैं।
यह परियोजना के सदस्यों के लिए भी एक अत्यंत उपयोगी अवसर था, यह दिखाने के लिए कि हमने क्या किया है और काम पर प्रतिक्रिया प्राप्त करने के लिए।
