What is art anyway?

India Art Fair 2026 | Among the many thoughts that surfaced at the fair (feeling like a kid in a candy store being one of them), I found myself thinking about the art world more broadly.

How it constantly oscillates between feeling exclusive and deeply inclusive. How it can sometimes feel intimidating– coded, curated, contained. And other times, radically open and welcoming– almost like it’s saying everyone is an artist.

I think my work and I lean more toward the latter.

But maybe both energies coexist for a reason?
Still forming thoughts– nothing conclusive.

Sharing a few snippets from the day, and mentioning some exhibits that really resonated with the kind of work we're building at ✨

kNOw school's take on ecological pedagogy in a refreshingly inclusive manner was quite interesting - under learning space

One of my absolutely favorite exhibits was "What If Women Ruled The World?" by Judy Chicago – the variety of perspectives and  nuances was gold.

Another one that stayed with me was "Beneath The Turning Sky" by
where it encouraged us to think of ourselves as earthlings under one common sky – and how our choices, no matter how tiny affect the beings under that one common sky.
