सन् अस्सी के दशक तक एक गाँव देहात में एक ख़ास प्रकार का पंखा प्रचलन में था जो छत पर लगा रहता और एक रस्सी द्वारा कोई प्राणी डुलाता रहता।चूँकि विद्युतीकरण उस समय हुआ नहीं था हाथ से डुलाने वाला ये पंखा बड़े अमीर वर्ग में ख़ासा प्रचलन में था। अंग्रेज़ी हुकूमत के दौरान ऐसे पंखों का खूब प्रयोग हुआ। अनेक भारतीय मज़दूर को पंखा डुलाने के लिए अंग्रेज़ी अफ़सर रखते थे। अमूमन दिन के नौकर रात को पंखा डुलाने का कार्य करते थे।ये पंखे बड़े बड़े लकड़ी के तख्तों पर कपड़े चढ़े हुए होते जिन्हें एक रस्सी और पुली से जोड़ा जाता था। रस्सी को लगातार खींचा जाता ताकि पंखा डुलता रहे।

आमिर ख़ान की फ़िल्म मंगल पांडेय में एक आदमी का रोल इसी पंखा डुलाने की नौकरी ब्रिटिश अधिकारियों के हियाँ करता दिखाया गया है। अंग्रेज अफ़सर इस काम के लिए गूँगे बहरे भारतीयों को प्राथमिकता दिया करते थे। कारण- उनके बेडरूम की अंतरंगता और प्राइवेसी डिस्टर्ब ना हो- कोई भारतीय अंग्रेजों की बातें ना सुन लें। इन पंखा डुलाने वालों को पंखावाला कहा जाता था। दिन में फ़िरंगी अफ़सरों की चाकरी करने के बाद भारतीयों से रात में पंखा डुलाने का काम करवाया जाता था। स्वाभाविक है दिन भर के थके माँदे बेचारे ये लोग पंखा डुलाते डुलाते सो जाते थे और उस हालत में गोरा हाकिम बड़ी बेदर्दी से पेश आता था।

अंग्रेज जंट साहब लोग अपने कमरे में पुराने जूते आदि रख सोते थे- जैसे ही नौकर ने पंखा डुलाना बंद किया- फ़िरंगी जूता फेंक मारता ताकि नौकर जग जाये। कुछ अंग्रेज अफ़सरों के रोजनामचनो के अनुसार कुछ बेचारे भारतीय लोग इन भारी भरकम जूतो आदि के नर्म स्थान पर चोट पहुँचने के कारण मारे भी गये किन्तु मारने वाले अंग्रेज पर कभी कोई कार्यवाही ना हुई।अनेक भारतीय पंखे वाले हाथ की वजह पैर से पंखा डुलाते ताकि वो लेट सके और हाथो को आराम पहुँच सकें।

अपने ही देश में इस हद तक की बेक़द्री के शिकार केवल हम भारतीय ही रहे होंगे। 🙏🏻

Srinivasa Ramanujan The Man who wrote poetry about Infinity

As Nikola Tesla said, Universe and everything in it, is written in the language of Energy & Frequency Everything in this Universe always has a pattern - just that its offen not easily visible, unless you see it with the lens of Mathematics.

Srinivasa Ramanujan - an Indian Mathematician, a born genius who contributed with his inventions on working with Infinite Series. In simple words, every scientific research often involves in decoding the hidden patterns - be it the DNA of a Pathogen or understanding energy shifts in the Cosmos. Ramanujan's inventions contributed heavily to such scientific researches.

Ramanujan had a mysterious condition. All the formulae for different mathematical problems just used to come to his mind intuitively, which eventually are all proven to be right! Even on his deathbed, during his last days, he wrote 600 such mathematical formulae which scientists are now using to understand the entropy & behaviour of Black holes in the Universe. Ramanujan didn't just knew Infinity, but he wrote a poetry about it!

I believe that every child in the school needs to know why they are learning Mathematics and how it really translates to our daily usage.

And most will not be knowing this.
