বসন্ত ষড়ঋতুর সর্বশেষ ঋতু।বসন্ত কে ঋতুর রাজা বলা হয়।ফাল্গুন এবং চৈত্র মাস মিলে হয় বসন্ত ঋতু। বসন্ত ঋতুর আগমন ঘটে শীত চলে যাবার পর এবং গ্রীষ্ম আসার আগে, পৃথিবীর অনেক প্রান্তে এই ঋতুতে ফুল ফুটে, গাছে নতুন পাতা গজায়, নতুন গাছের জন্ম হয়।
