Should you decide to plan your own journey to India, just how confident are you that you will not miss a thing. This is where Lighthouse can be the ideal company to ensure you do not miss a beat. DELHI as all well know is the capital and with architecture and history not in short supply, one can understand why.

Described as a historic capital city blending tradition with modernity, this is Delhi.
A bustling metropolis that serves as the heart of India, blending a rich tapestry of history and culture. As a first-time visitor, prepare to be enchanted by the city's vibrant energy and myriad attractions.
Delhi has a history dating back millennia with layers of dynasties leaving their mark on its landscape.
Begin your journey with a visit to the iconic Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at its majestic architecture. Wander through the narrow lanes of Old Delhi where you'll encounter bustling markets, centuries-old monuments like Jama Masjid, and tantalizing street food stalls offering delights like spicy chaat and sweet jalebi. For a glimpse into India's colonial past, head to New Delhi, designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens. Here you can explore landmarks such as India Gate, Humayun's Tomb - pictured - and the magnificent Lotus Temple, renowned for its striking lotus-shaped architecture.

One of our favourite characters throughout India is the spritely grey langur monkey. Known for being cheeky with nonchalant poses like this one, did you know that they are the best a raising an alarm when a predator is near? Not only do they become extremely agitated but they share an ear piercing scream over and over as they leap from tree to tree warning the other wildlife of impending danger.
Another fact is their bonding with each other and their deep love of family. You can see them grooming each other on the roadside or languishing atop of a wall. They certainly provide us with many great photos along the way.

Another day on the river and this time we feature the Tungabhadra.

There is an ancient heritage flowing through fertile lands in the heart of Southern India.

As with all rivers, this one serves as a lifeline to the states of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh as it enriches the landscape with its fertile banks maintaining the region's agricultural heritage.

Alongside its practical significance, the Tungabhadra holds a deep cultural and historical importance, particularly in the vicinity of the ancient city of Hampi. Once the majestic capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, Hampi is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its spectacular ruins, majestic temples and intricate stone carvings. Flowing gracefully past Hampi's ancient monuments and boulder-strewn landscapes adds to the charm of this historical enclave. Visitors to the Tungabhadra River and Hampi are treated to a captivating blend of natural beauty and cultural richness, offering opportunities for exploration, relaxation, and immersion in the region's storied past.
Just another of the immersive adventures you will encounter when you travel with Lighthouse by Incentive Destinations.
