📌Perspectives, the DebSoc of the School of Engineering, JNU successfully conducted Debating 101 on 19th Jan’24. The workshop was hosted by Prachi Atri (President) and Ayush Prakash Singh (Vice President). Perspectives attempted to cover introductory debating spanning from brainstorming and research to rules and resources. Perspectives thanks all those who were present in the workshop and hope to see you again in the upcoming events.

Hello everyone!
We are coming up with a very lively debate on a topic which seems to be everyone's concern these days. Journalism is considered to be the 4th pillar of democracy but the kind of Journalism we are witnessing by majority of Indian media houses is very depressing. Subsequent attacks on the spirit of Journalism by so called media houses and states as well have weakened the 4th pillar. We will broaden the scope of our debate to the future of Journalism in India, freedom of expression of individuals and freedom of press as well.
