Binge watched Masaba Masaba and couldn’t agree more on this. Hitting a creative block is almost inevitable in this field. We all have had clients who want ideas and designs on the fly, what they don’t understand is that there’s a lot more to the end product they see, there is a process behind it. Sometimes you naturally connect with the idea and sometimes you need to think and research on it for hours and days.

Someone recently asked me “What are the two things you need to have in you as a designer?” and the first one was “YOU NEED TO CHILL” (that hit me on a different level). When you are constantly working or thinking about something it can get a little overwhelming, to avoid the burnout you need to take breaks. Step away from the laptop for a breather, take a walk, listen to your favourite artist, dance it out.

But don’t let the creative block tell you that you are a misfit for the field, don’t let it consume you. TAKE A DAY OFF when you want, YOU DESERVE THAT.
