The Vacation Bench has sent a message louder than any lecture on Bar reform:

“No Senior Advocate will appear before my Court during vacations.” — Justice Vikram Nath

This is not an exclusion of seniors; it is an inclusion of the forgotten fighting force of the Bar — the young advocates, the AoRs, the juniors who draft through the night, carry the briefs, know the facts, but are too often denied the microphone.

A courtroom is not a private club of silk gowns. It is the temple of justice. And justice is strengthened when talent is allowed to rise, not when it is buried under hierarchy.

Justice Vikram Nath’s stand deserves applause. The Supreme Court vacation bench can now become what it ought to be — a battlefield of merit, preparation and courage.

Young lawyers must seize this moment. Argue with fire. Argue with facts. Argue with law. Let the country see that the future of the Bar is not waiting outside the courtroom — it is ready to address the Court today.
