Lane discipline on Indian Roads and its consequences.

Friends, we often see a situation on roads where during traffic block , while most of vehicles are in lane waiting for road to be cleared, few vehicles continue to zoom ahead on wrong side and making situation worse.
if they would not have been on wrong side , road block could have been cleared in X minutes, it takes 2 X or more.

What do you think is reason for such drivers for not following lane discipline.
