President Trump and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum cut the ribbon to officially open the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in North Dakota.
During the ceremony, Theodore Roosevelt's Medal of Honor was presented alongside Congressional Medal of Honor Society President Britt Slabinski. The medal will remain on display at the library as part of its tribute to the 26th president.
Roosevelt and his son, Theodore Roosevelt Jr., are the only father-son pair to both receive the Medal of Honor, and this marked the first time the two medals were displayed together.
