MGM Higher Secondary School Felicitates HSLC and HSSLC Rank Holders

Dimapur, June 4: MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, felicitated its HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2026 rank holders at a special programme held on Thursday at the school assembly ground.

The event was organized to honour the outstanding achievements of Master Aman Kumar, HSLC State Topper and Subject Topper in Social Science, Hindi and FIT, and Miss Amina Begum, who secured the 5th Rank in the HSSLC Science Stream and emerged as Subject Topper in Physics and Hindi.

The programme began with an invocation by Miss Angel Konyak, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Miss Enanylou compered the programme.
In his welcome address, Headmaster Mr. Biswajit Paul lauded the dedication, perseverance and hard work of the rank holders, stating that their achievements reflected not only their personal commitment but also the collective efforts of parents, teachers and the school management in fostering academic excellence.

A colourful cultural dance presented by the School Dance Club added vibrancy to the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Vice President Fr. Giju George congratulated the rank holders and commended their determination and discipline. He noted that the school's consistent record of producing rank holders has brought pride to both the institution and the community. Emphasizing the broader purpose of education, he said that true learning involves character formation, values and responsible citizenship alongside academic success.

The programme was also attended by the GB and representatives of the Midland Colony Council. Speaking on behalf of the Council, Executive Member Mr. Robert Angami congratulated the achievers and appreciated the efforts of the school, teachers and parents in nurturing excellence. As a gesture of appreciation, he presented a certificate to the Principal and bouquets to the rank holders while assuring the Council's continued support for educational development.

The rank holders were felicitated with mementos and cash awards in recognition of their exceptional performance in the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2026.

Principal Shri Reji Abraham, while congratulating the students, emphasized that success is built on self-belief, discipline, confidence and consistent hard work. He expressed gratitude to the parents, teachers, school management, Vice President and Midland Council members for their encouragement and support. He also wished the outgoing Vice President success in his future endeavours and thanked him for his valuable contributions to the institution.

Speaking on the occasion, Master Aman Kumar thanked the school, teachers and parents for their unwavering support. Encouraging his juniors, he urged them to dream big, remain focused and work consistently towards their goals.

Miss Amina Begum also expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a significant milestone in her academic journey. She encouraged younger students to stay committed to their aspirations and not be discouraged by temporary setbacks.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
