Dealerships are an absolute SCAM.

So I bring my 2026 Toyota Tacoma in with 3,000 miles on it because the check engine light comes on. Brand new truck. Still smells like the factory. And the service advisor calls me back acting like he just discovered the mystery of the century.

He sends me this picture and tells me “it looks like rodent damage so it’s not covered under warranty.”

Excuse me?

You’re telling me that the wiring on a 3,000 mile truck is already just magically falling apart and the official explanation is that some random woodland creature crawled into the engine bay and developed a sudden craving for Toyota electrical harnesses specifically?

Because from where I’m standing that wiring insulation looks like cheap factory material disintegrating, not some rat hosting a midnight buffet under the hood.

And here’s the part that really gets me… they immediately jump to “not covered.” No investigation. No discussion. Just straight to “that’ll be several hundred dollars.”

Funny how the only “rodent” capable of causing damage like this seems to be the mechanic holding the camera. Because apparently the dealership will do anything they can to turn a manufacturer defect into customer pay.

I take care of my vehicles. The truck has 3,000 miles. It hasn’t even had time to meet a squirrel yet.

But somehow the dealership wants me to believe a rat chewed it…

when the only thing getting chewed here is my wallet. 🐀💸

I am actually SHAKING right now. To the absolute MORON on the HOA board or the city council who thought it was a good idea to put that unmarked "speed hump" Infront of the school... I hope you’re happy. 🤬
Since there were no signs, i ended up hitting it at 80mph, and I hit that thing so hard I thought the airbags were going to deploy. My brand new Altima is currently sitting in a puddle of its own oil because the entire oil pan is SHATTERED.
There is a literal trail of engine fluid leading right to my driveway. This is gross negligence. No signs, no reflective paint, just a car-killing mountain in the middle of the road.
I’ve already filed a report with the police and my lawyer is getting a call first thing in the morning.

TO the person in the white Tesla that decided to park basically ON TOP of my work van this morning. I already got photos and I’ve contacted the office. This is exactly the kind of entitled parking that people are tired of dealing with.

You’re literally parked halfway into my spot and inches from my van like the parking lines just don’t apply to you. It’s not that hard to park inside the lines. This isn’t complicated.

Now I can barely get into my own vehicle because someone with a Tesla apparently thinks they own the entire parking lot. Completely unacceptable behavior. Learn how to park. 🚨
