District Child Protection Unit Ganderbal.

On the directions of Worthy District Child Protection officer Mr. Bashir Ahamd Malik (JKAS), an awareness program was conducted ( dated 11/12/2024) on Juvenile Justice ( care and protection of children)Act 2015 , POCSO Act 2012 and Child Rights at KGBV School Gutlibabag Ganderbal by Department of Mission Vatsalya ( Social Welfare) Ganderbal institution
Units participated;-
Chaiperson Child Welfare committee ganderbal ,officials from District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) officials, Child Helpline(1098) Gbl, locals of the area and Students of the said institution.

Juvenile justice board Ganderbal pays surprise visit to P.S Ganderbal and children Homes- CCl’s (Palash and pareesha)

Principal Magistrate Juvenile Justice Board Ganderbal Ms Farah Bashir(JMIC) along with Legal Cum probationary officer of Juvenile justice board Ms Sameena Anjum conducted a surprise visit to police station Ganderbal

The surprise visit aims at to inquire any alleged minors in lock up ,the visit is a part of promoting childs rights

The team also interacted With concerned S.H.O and other senior officers of the Station ,discussed many issues Regarding alleged minors and collected the data of overall challans and FIRs,at the end of the day the team discussed about alleged child in conflict with law and victim of cases under Juvenile Justice system /Act 2015

They also visited the palash(Boys) and pareesha s(Girls)' to inspect the structural infrastructure and facilities inside these palash and pareeshas'
Along With inspection they also interacted With childrens and expressed deep love and affection With them.

The surprise inspections will continue for the proper implementation of Juvenile Justice System in a district.
