Have you ever trusted a “perfectly logical” promise… and still got hurt? 🤔

A scorpion wanted to cross a river, but it couldn’t swim. So, it asked a frog to carry it across. 🐸

The frog hesitated and asked,
“What if you sting me?”

The scorpion replied calmly,
“If I sting you, we’ll both sink and die. I’m not stupid.”

It sounded reasonable, so the frog agreed.

But halfway across the river, the scorpion stung the frog. 🦂

As they both began to sink, the frog gasped,
“Why would you do that?”

The scorpion replied,
“I’m sorry… but it’s my nature.”

✨ Real-Life Lessons:

1️⃣ *Reason does not change nature.*
The scorpion’s argument was logical, but its nature remained unchanged. Some people may speak wisely, promise sincerely, and still act according to their true habits.

2️⃣ *Judge people by actions, not just words.*
When someone repeatedly shows you who they are, believe their behavior more than their explanations. Consistent actions reveal the truth.

3️⃣ *Compassion needs wisdom.*
Kindness without discernment can become self-harm. Helping others should never mean ignoring warning signs or sacrificing your own peace and safety.

4️⃣ *Not every risk is worth taking.*
Maturity is knowing that even reasonable words can hide dangerous intentions. A calm mind, clear judgment, and understanding of human nature protect us better than emotions alone.
