TODAY 5th July 2024 brings back 'Sweet memories' of a journey started 16 years ago when and Arjun were 2.5 years old. When I started the process of becoming a mother I was certain that I would not work outside...I wanted to be home to take care of my children, watch them grow, see every milestone they achieved, every little progress they made...on the other hand I was over energetic workaholic by nature so I was finding it difficult to be without a job and my financial freedom. I juggled with multi level marketing for a bit but soon realized my heart was in hospitality.

I decided to bring back my skills learnt more than a decade before and started serving the neighbour's in my condominium under the brand name 'Sweet Memories ' ( it was derived from a small little restaurant in T.T.K ROAD Madras where I used to meet my sweetheart to have peski ( read pepsi) ..we shared a drink as we hardly had any money. Later I discovered the website in this name wasn't avl...so it was changed to Truffle Tangles ...a Li'l sweet a Li'l tangy.

My boys were an integral part of my biz, helping me at every step, packing, carting, manning the stalls, and karan even baked my pet cakes when I travelled ) tirelessly...sometimes I felt guilty when I couldn't cook a meal in time or couldn't spend time with them when they were younger...but these were sacrifices that one made during the struggles. You can't have it all....I still don't...but there is always lots of good that comes out of a difficult situation. They learnt to be independent, they could cook up delicious breakfast, they learnt housework like a pro and now as they turned 18 this year....they are ready to fly....I don't know what I will do without them by my side....but I guess I will manage and learn a new way. YES i could manage it all and I'm happy I could make a career or careers despite being home to be around my 3 boys.

On the Sweet 16th birthday of Truffle Tangles, I am celebrating the success of this empire I built and the beautiful humans I created. As we embark on a new journey, I want to take this opportunity to thank each one of you who crossed my path.

My reply... is simply the love I receive from my loyal clients. Their faith, free hand and high trust, entrusting me with an important day in their life, the love of the relationship they share with their loved ones.
