Building careers. Strengthening healthcare.

LPL Academy for Laboratory Medicine – Phlebotomist Training Program is a flagship initiative of the Lal PathLabs Foundation, now operating across 21 training centers in 10 States and 2 UTs.

The program empowers rural youth with vocational skills, helping them become trained phlebotomists and bringing essential diagnostic services closer to underserved communities in rural and semi-urban areas. It addresses two key challenges - shortage of skilled healthcare professionals in tier 2 & 3 regions and limited job opportunities for local youth.

Since its inception, the program has trained and certified 13,000+ candidates, with over 10,700+ placed successfully; achieving an 82%+ placement rate, including 60% women.

The program focused on a holistic training approach, combining technical training with soft skills, communication, financial literacy, gender sensitization, and entrepreneurship development.

Mr. Ved Goel (Group CFO & CEO – International Business, Dr Lal PathLabs) visited our CSR project, one of the 20 centres of our flagship initiative, LPL Academy for Laboratory Medicine – Phlebotomist Training Program at Dehradun.

During his visit, he reviewed the centre’s infrastructure, classrooms, and practical labs, and interacted closely with students and alumni, gaining insights into the on-ground impact of the program.

Addressing the students during the Reward & Recognition and Convocation Ceremony for the FY 2025-26 batch, Mr. Ved Goel shared valuable insights from his professional journey, emphasizing that success is built through discipline, consistency, and small, meaningful steps. He also highlighted the critical role of the healthcare sector in nation-building and the inspiring journey of Dr Lal PathLabs, motivating students to pursue their careers with confidence and purpose.

The event celebrated the achievements of the FY 2025-26 batch, where students received training certificates and job offer letters in reputed local laboratories. Top performers were honoured with the Dr. Lal Excellence Award, along with the special Dr. Lal Samatva Award recognizing persons with disabilities. Alumni success stories further added to the spirit of inspiration.

Mr. Rajesh Singh (Head – CSR, Dr Lal PathLabs), Mr. Pankaj Issar (Dy. Manager – CSR, Dr Lal PathLabs), Ms. Nidhi Khullar (COO, Lok Bharti Education Society), and the entire team were present during the event.
