On June 1st, TikTok Shop announced that it will adjust the requirements for influencers to open their e-commerce shops on its US site. The original threshold of 1000 followers has been restored to 5000 followers. TikTok Shop requires all applicants to submit relevant personal identification information. Influencers who are unable to pass the identity verification process will not be granted creator e-commerce privileges on TikTok Shop.
