Curator Girish Shahane reflects on Naina Dalal’s practice, tracing the concerns, materials, and continuities that shape An Empathetic Eye.
Presented by Gallerie Splash as part of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale Collateral, the exhibition brings together key bodies of work across painting and printmaking, offering a focused view of Dalal’s six-decade practice.

If you haven’t made your way to the Kochi-Muziris Biennale yet, this is the perfect moment to do so. As part of the Kochi Biennale Collateral Projects, Gallerie Splash presents Naina Dalal: An Empathetic Eye, curated by Girish Shahane.
With only the last few weeks remaining, visitors can experience works spanning six decades of Dalal’s practice, including collagraphs, canvases, and intimate ink and watercolour paintings.
