To celebrate World MSME Day (27 June), BioNEST–IASST, in association with ISVEC, is organizing a seminar on “Scaling MSMEs through Operational Excellence, Quality Systems, and Sustainable Manufacturing” on 29 June 2026 at the IASST Campus.
The seminar will bring together industry experts, entrepreneurs, startups, and researchers to discuss opportunities, challenges, and best practices for strengthening the MSME sector.

BioNEST–IASST and SAIC–IASST, in collaboration with Leica Microsystems, successfully organized a two-day workshop on Cryo Microtomy, on June 3 - 4 of 2026, bringing together researchers, students, and professionals for an immersive learning experience.

The workshop featured expert lectures, technical sessions, and hands-on demonstrations that provided participants with practical insights into cryo microtomy techniques and their applications in modern biological and materials research. The interactive sessions fostered knowledge exchange, skill development, and meaningful discussions among participants and experts.

On May 15, 2026, BioNEST – IASST welcomed 38 Class XII students and 4 faculty members from the Science and Arts streams of Modern Public Academy, Pakorkona, Hajo, Assam, for an exposure visit. The initiative aimed to familiarize students with scientific innovation, incubation facilities, and the startup ecosystem.
As part of the visit, the students explored the facilities at BioNEST – IASST, and learned about ongoing research and startup activities supported by the incubator. Demonstrations of laboratory instruments and discussions on innovation provided them with practical insights into how ideas can be transformed into impactful solutions.
The visit offered an enriching and motivating experience for the students, inspiring them to consider future opportunities in science, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Through such programs, BioNEST – IASST continues to promote scientific awareness and entrepreneurial thinking among young learners across the region.
