The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), Seacom Engineering College proudly celebrated World Environment Day 2026 on 5th June 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from faculty members, students, and staff.

Highlights of the Celebration:

An insightful expert lecture was delivered by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐲, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐉𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐯𝐩𝐮𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, who shared valuable perspectives on climate change, environmental challenges, and the urgent need for sustainable practices. His address inspired students to become active contributors to environmental protection and green innovation.

Students showcased innovative environment-related projects and ideas addressing sustainability, resource conservation, and climate solutions. The presentations reflected the creativity, awareness, and technical competence of our future engineers.

🌳 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞
A tree plantation programme was conducted within the campus premises to promote ecological balance and reinforce the institution's commitment towards creating a greener and healthier environment.

Participants were encouraged to register on Smart Campus Cloud Network portal, enabling them to engage with national sustainability and climate action initiatives and become part of a larger community working for environmental conservation.

✋ 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐲𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞
Faculty members, staff, and students collectively took the Climate Satyagraha Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to responsible environmental behaviour, sustainable living, and active participation in climate action.

The event successfully reinforced Seacom Engineering College's dedication towards nurturing environmentally conscious citizens and future technologists capable of contributing meaningfully to a sustainable world.
