Toyota Innova Crysta in for a transmission issue. The old transmission was blown completely (never serviced), repairing it wasn’t worth a bit, and the new one costed a bomb so we replaced it with a less driven used transmission from one of our trusted vendors, serviced the transmission, installed and did a calibration on it and it drove “butter smooth” and “better than good” as quoted by the owner of the vehicle.

The owner asked us for advice on his dilemma between repair and replacement. After analysing the usage and purpose of the car(very high run - approx 10k kms per month) we suggested to go for a used one instead of the repair, since the repair kits are made by Transpeed - and usually last about 60-80k Kms. The used transmission while being the expensive option among the two will outlast that by a lot with regular maintenance with the end product being much more better.

The dealership quoted 6.5 lacs and some other workshop quoted 3.5 lacs for repair. We replaced it for less than half that price, you can swipe to the last two images to see what the owner has to say about it.
