An old, upscale heirloom bed is a gift — it already has character, history, and comfort. The trick is to build the room _around_ it without making it feel like a hand-me-down or a museum piece. This girl's room is designed in a way to keep all other things muted so that the bed becomes the centerpiece and does all the magic.The light floral blush pink wall paper on the wardrobe and ceiling was to tone down the overwhelming presence of the bed and make things look soft and feminine.
