Is GFC superior to traditional PRR for hair loss???
-GFC or growth factor concentrate is concoction of growth factors , cytokines nd proteins at high concentrations nd they r derived from the patient’s own platelets…
-In this procedure the platelets r activated before the centrifugation process but this is not so in the case of PRP where activation of platelets is done after centrifugation by adding cacl2, so due to this aspect
In GFC the acellular component which is loaded with growth factors is separated from the cellular component , so there is less chance of pain nd inflammation than PRP ..
-So in a nutshell in GFC..
The results r optimal nd generally not operator dependent
Less pain nd inflammation
Requires less no of sessions, usually 4-5.
