Internationally acclaimed Manipuri film Boong featured as a current affairs question in the 2026 Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Preliminary Examination.
The 2 marks carrying question was a part of the Paper 1 (General Studies)'s A section question paper.

Speaking to Imphalgram, Arina (21) a resident of Mayang Langjing who appeared her prelims in Guwahati today shared her excitement over Boong making it to her UPSC question paper. "I felt very really happy when I saw the question. And it was indeed a proud moment as a Manipuri" she added.
