The Politika

A glimpse of the Second Edition of the Annual Magazine titled "Politika". The edition features more than 30 writings of various categories contributed by students and research scholars of Political Science as well as other disciplines.

A copy of the Magazine each was presented to the VC as well as the Dean, SoSSc, Manipur University by our coordinators.

The Political Science Society, Manipur University has celebrated its Second Foundation Day on 18th December, 2025 in the presence of the faculty members, research scholars, master's students, and alumni. On this occassion, the Society has also published it's second edition of Annual Magazine title as "Politika".

Prof. Bijen and Dr. Diana congratulated the editorial team and members of the PSS on actively working to contribute to the academic culture through various activities and publications.

The coordinators of the Society is grateful to all the faculty members, the students, and scholars for the support and cooperation extended in enabling the society to keep moving forward and grow more and more.

6th PSS Session

The 6th session of our Society has been conducted today at Lecture Hall 1 of the Department. As part of the session, THE CAMPUS MANDATE: A Report on the Manipur University Students' Union Election 2025-2026 prepared by our members Dr. Athokpam Marconi Singh and Joyson Khumukcham, published under the banner of our Society has been released today. The release was graced by MUSU President and Finance Secretary along with our Coordinator.

The main session was a conversation programme with Dr. Arambam Carol, MD Psychiatry, SR, Department of Psychiatry, JNIMS, on the theme "Navigating Mental Health Challenges of Students Amidst Political Conflict". Our Head of Department, Prof. Bijen took his time to felicitate her.

Overall, the 6th session turns out to be productive and significant.

The Political Science Society is pleased to share its plans to launch its first publication at a special session this year. All members of the society (current and former students and scholars of the Department of Political Science) are invited to contribute to this inaugural edition.
