🚨 Child Victims’ Privacy Violation: Police Issue Strong Warning

Imphal, April 11: Following suo motu cognisance by the Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR), Manipur Police has warned against the circulation of photos, videos, and personal details of child victims on social media and news platforms.

Senior police officer stated that sharing such content is a punishable offence under the POCSO Act, JJ Act, and BNSS, 2023.

⚠️ Public urged to:
• Stop sharing such content immediately
• Delete any existing material
• Report responsibly

Media organisations have also been asked to exercise maximum sensitivity in reporting.

Police have made it clear: strict legal action will follow violations.

This comes amid rising concern over the dignity and protection of child victims after MCPCR issued a statutory notice on the issue.
