Delhi’s Cold Wave Intensifies at 5.8°C, While Air Quality Sees Positive Turn
Delhi cold wave: The Air Quality Index (AQI) this morning was recorded at 276 compared to 336 on Wednesday morning. Delhi's 24-hour average air quality on Wednesday was 289.
The national capital on Thursday recorded season's lowest temperature at 5.8 degrees amid intense cold wave. As per the weather department, the temperature in the capital on Thursday was 1.1 degrees below normal as cold northerly winds from the Himalayan region moved towards Delhi. The earlier known lowest minimum temperature of the season was observed on December 20, when the mercury dropped to 6.1 degrees Celsius

Yogi Govt's Big Push: Semiconductor Sops Among 13 Proposals Approved
The Yogi government has decided to offer special incentives to attract large investments under the Semiconductor Policy 2024. Semiconductor units will receive interest subsidies, employee cost reimbursement, and exemption from net SGST for 10 years.
In a major push to boost high-end manufacturing and generate large-scale employment, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Monday approved a significant proposal to attract large-scale investments under the Semiconductor Policy 2024. The state government has decided to offer special, case-by-case incentives for semiconductor projects involving investments of Rs 3,000 crore or more.
