KEYI PANYOR, July 2: A team from the Arunachal Frontier Tribal Front (AFTF) visited the flood-ravaged areas of Possa Village and NEEPCO Colony at Possa, 43 km in Keyi Panyor district, on July 1 to assess the damage caused by the devastating flash floods that struck the region on June 24.

During the visit, the AFTF delegation met Keyi Panyor MLA Toko Tatung and interacted with families affected by the disaster to understand their hardships and ongoing rehabilitation needs.

As part of its humanitarian initiative, the organisation distributed essential relief materials to the flood victims and expressed solidarity with the affected communities. AFTF also appealed to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to address the immediate needs of the victims and expedite relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction efforts to help restore normalcy in the district.

Following the visit, MLA Toko Tatung expressed his gratitude to the AFTF team for standing with the flood-affected families during their hour of need. In a message shared on social media, he described the organisation's humanitarian gesture as an inspiring example of solidarity and compassion.

The relief team was led by AFTF President Tadak Nalo and General Secretary Tarba Japan, accompanied by members Mongpang Natung, Tomir Nika, Tatung Tama, and Dana.

Tatung lauded the team's selfless efforts, stating that such initiatives reflect the deep-rooted values of unity and mutual support within Arunachal Pradesh. He extended his sincere compliments and heartfelt appreciation to the entire AFTF team for reaching out to the affected communities with timely relief assistance.
