The gallery : Evolution of musical instruments

Air-tide cabinet designed by Me for the purpose of keeping control over dust and frequent moist air flow within cabinet. It came to me as challenge, the museum has major problem with high rate of RH. This cabinet is built in such a manner that not even single nail cannot be seen from outside. Whole cabinet work as one unit, back glass can be slide over both side in process to accommodate artifact.

I took chalange with the gallery as it was a long corridor with many pillars in between. So i said to myself “why not to use pillar itself for display?” That’s how i came up with the presented idea. I hope you like it.

The images presents gallery of ceremonial arts. The gallery has been divided into two section: A section contains all sacred accessories and B section contains all the sculpture related to temple.
Sections have been divided into further categories according to the nature of the collection. Each design meant to present a central attraction to avoid any monotonousness in the gallery.
All cabinets are airtight to control additional fluctuation of temperature within cabinet. Adjustable cabinets are developed to accommodate more artefacts over the time.
