Baramulla Under the “Hundred Days Drug-Free Campaign,” Jammu and Kashmir Police today organized a large awareness rally with the students of Government Higher Secondary School Chandilora, Tangmarg. The rally was attended by Zeo Tangmarg Zafar Ahmad Bhat, SDPO Gulmarg Faizan Ali, Tehsildar Tangmarg Syed Yadid Qadri, and SHO Tangmarg Sheikh Adil Ahmad.
The main objective of the rally was to raise awareness against drug abuse, encourage youth to stay away from drugs, and provide guidance to those affected, so that the spread of substance abuse in society can be reduced as soon as possible.
The rally started from Government Higher Secondary School Chandilora, proceeded towards Tangmarg, and then returned to the school.
ZEO Tangmarg Zafar ahmad while speaking to the media, said that under the ongoing 100-day “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan,” rallies are being organized across the Tangmarg sub-district to raise awareness.
He appealed to the public that if they notice any child or any individual in their surroundings involved in drug abuse, they should guide and counsel them. He especially emphasized the role of parents, stating that children remain in school from 10 AM to 4 PM, but spend the remaining 18 hours at home with their families.
Therefore, parents have a crucial responsibility to monitor their children—be aware of when they return home, keep an eye on their activities, and ensure that they do not fall into drug abuse. He stressed that parents must take proper care of their children and educate them about the dangers of drugs(JKL) Views Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh updates
