🎉 “Aarambh 3.0” – A Grand Celebration of Innovation & Culture! 🎭💡

Government Engineering College, Jamui successfully concluded its annual techno-cultural fest “Aarambh 3.0” held on April 5–6, 2026. The two-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and participants from various institutions, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with innovation, creativity, and cultural expression.

The fest aimed to provide a dynamic platform for nurturing both technical skills and cultural talents. A wide range of technical events including hackathon, coding competitions, robotics showcases, and project exhibitions highlighted the analytical thinking and innovative approach of participants.

✨ Adding color to the event, cultural programs such as dance, music, drama, and fashion show made the celebration truly multidimensional and engaging.

🚀 InnovateX Hackathon 2026 Concludes Successfully! 🎉

Government Engineering College, Jamui proudly hosted a 24-hour national-level hackathon “InnovateX” on April 2, 2026, under the aegis of the Code Club. The event was organized under the visionary leadership and guidance of Principal Dr. Ashish Kumar.

The program received valuable support from Head of Computer Science Department Prof. Shritosh Kumar, Head of Electronics Department Dr. Brajesh Kumar, and Faculty Coordinators Prof. Manish Kumar and Prof. Debesh Kumar Shandilya.

🌟 Participants from across the country showed tremendous enthusiasm, with teams from cities like Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi, Begusarai, and Lakhisarai competing. After a rigorous multi-stage selection process, 15 teams advanced to the final offline round.

💡 During the intense 24-hour challenge, participants showcased exceptional innovation, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills.

🏆 Winners:
🥇 Team Dual Core (GEC Jamui) – Winner (₹10,000 + Trophy)
🥈 Team Masters (RRSDCE, Begusarai) – Runner-up (₹5,000 + Trophy)

👏 The success of this event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of Code Club core members—Anikesh, Prince, Jia, Sanjeev, Shivam, Sonamani, Aastha, Krishnamohan, and Swadheen—along with the valuable contributions of other club members.

🎓💼 Job Fair Week 2026 Concludes Successfully at GEC Jamui | 173 Job Offers Issued

Government Engineering College, Jamui successfully concluded Job Fair Week 2026, organized from 24 January to 29 January 2026 by the Training & Placement Cell, GEC Jamui, marking a significant milestone in the institute’s placement journey.

With the conclusion of the event, the college achieved an outstanding outcome by securing a total of 173 job offers from reputed companies, setting a new benchmark in campus placements.

During the career guidance session, Mr. Mitesh Kumar Sandilya, General Manager, District Industries Centre, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He motivated students to align their skills with industry requirements and actively contribute to the Make in India initiative.

Sharing placement highlights, TPO In-charge Prof. Shweta Kumari, Prof. Manish Kumar, and Prof. Utsav Kumar Singh informed that:

220 students participated in the Job Fair Week

114 students were selected by various companies

Over 52% of participating students received at least one job offer

38 students received multiple offers

Leading recruiters included Hi-Technext Engineering & Telecom Pvt. Ltd., Intreng, Sinnova Gears, Indus Towers, Averixis Solutions, MRF Tyres, Law Sikho, and LaunchEd Global.

On the occasion, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Kumar attributed this success to industry-oriented education, dedicated faculty guidance, and the hard work of students. He reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to continuously creating more employment-oriented opportunities for its students.

📢 Earthquake Safety Fortnight–2026 Successfully Concluded at Government Engineering College, Jamui 🌍🏗️

Government Engineering College, Jamui successfully organized “Earthquake Safety Fortnight–2026” from 15 January to 28 January 2026 under the guidance of Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA), with the support of the Department of Science, Technology & Technical Education, Government of Bihar.

The program aimed to raise awareness about earthquake hazards, disaster management, and safety measures, highlighting the crucial role of engineers in building a safer society.

The inaugural ceremony was held on 16 January 2026 in the college conference hall with the active participation of faculty members, staff, and students of the Civil Engineering Department. Eminent academicians and administrative officials shared valuable insights on earthquake safety, disaster preparedness, and resilient infrastructure.

Throughout the fortnight, various academic, technical, and awareness activities were conducted, including:

* Quiz competitions
* Mock drills
* Earthquake safety awareness rally
* Online expert lectures
* Poster making & PowerPoint presentation competitions
* Online quiz on earthquake-resistant design
* Technical model exhibition

Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity and technical expertise. Expert sessions on earthquake-resistant structures, BIS codes, structural safety, and emergency response measures provided practical knowledge essential for future engineers.

The program concluded on 28 January 2026 with a technical seminar and prize distribution ceremony, honoring outstanding student performances and appreciating the efforts of the organizing committee.
