It would be fair to say that over Covid, most of us have been rethinking the way we live our lives.
Why then can’t we rethink how we view happiness? Or even create our happiness?
I found multiple ways to create happiness in the festive season and am delighted to share a few-
1- Finding a special item of crockery in my kitchen cupboard and enjoying my coffee in it.
2- Coffee and Conversations- my two favourite things to do- and who better to share these with than my husband - beats going to the best coffee shop in the world.
3- Japan, a country I love and am inspired by, if not physically, I can still be spiritually there by using beautiful Japanese cups.
4- Dark chocolate cake with an astonishing amount of hazelnuts, made all the sweeter by who baked it and sent it over especially for me.
5- Hosting a Christmas party for six, yes you read right 😊 for a friend who always travels during Christmas and couldn’t this time.
6- Celebrating a loved ones special occasion on zoom with people who perhaps wouldn’t have been able to travel physically, which exotic location could be better!
What happiness have you/ are you going to create for yourself?

I resonate totally with Maya Angelou when she says this. As a coach, in conversations with clients, and for myself, I have realised that not being able to speak out freely all my thoughts, intentions, obstacles, weaknesses, hurt, betrayals and even victories has most often caused more agony than the event itself.
