Did a large thyroid-MNG 12*10cm size with retrosternal extension and completely distorted anatomy.
Pt had mid tracheal compression due to retrosternal lobe compression, so pt had awake intubation.
Major challenge was to identify nerve and minimise blood loss in view of hyperthyroid gland.
Happy to complete the case with good post op voice and breathing of pt.
Blood loss was around 100ml.
