I was a garden, and they made me a desert—where I didn’t even like to water myself because I thought it was no longer needed for my survival. I made myself comfortable in what was never meant to be mine. I believed that I deserved it somehow, until God Himself told me to get out of it. And when I tried to abandon them, they still chased me like wolves, with a great appetite for my peace. I was so naive that I even felt sorry for their hunger, even though it was me who was their feast. I wanted to go back to feed myself to them, but then I reminded myself how I healed from the traumas and wounds they had given me. Now, I can’t give them the crumbs of my soul to recharge them—only for them to eat me up all at once again. :)
