Thank you all for helping my YouTube channel cross 10K subscribers! Being a solo classical musician with no background or godfather, this milestone is truly special for me.

I’d also love for you to listen to my three recently released Agomoni songs, which I’ve shared from my YouTube channel. Your support and encouragement mean a lot!

Hi! Myself Sayan

Hi, Myself Sayan Ghosh, a sitar player and a devotee of 12 notes. My journey into the world of music started from the 2008. I was trained by my first guru late Sri Ganesh Das. In a brief I am going to introduce sri Ganesh Das. He was a disciple of Sri Omiyokanti Bhattacharya. Omiyokanti ji was one of the topmost disciple of the legendary sitar player Ustad Enayet Khan (Ustad Vilayet Khan’s father). I took talim from him for several years, after his death I went to Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan to continue my training and it is still going forward.

Even though I am a traditional musician. I have been working on Rabindranath Tagore’s song for several years and have also been working on pop music. I by heart follow the gayaki ang style of our Etawah-Imdadkhani Gharana. Though I belong to this gharana from the starting. I am the creator of the long-term series “Tagore on Sitar”. I am working on this long term series. In a brief, in this album I remake Tagore’s song on sitar.

I performed in a several Concerts and Baithaks. I mostly love to play the raagas like Piloo, Jhinjhoti, ShyamKalyan, Yaman, Puriya Dhanesree, Charukeshi, Bhairabi, Darbari Kannada e.t.c. I also a great admirer of 90’s bollywood songs like Asha Vonsle, lata Mangeskar. Also I love the Ghazal of Jagjit Singh. His gayaki effected my musical approach too much.

Overall, I love any kind of Art, and I want to master some of that. Music is like a medicine to me. I heals, it give trusts, it give happiness. Thank You for being here :)
