Dahlia
Dahlia is a bushy, tuberous, herbaceous perennial plants native to Mexico and Central America. The tubers were grown as a food crop by the Aztecs, but this use largely died out after the Spanish Conquest. In Europe and America, prior to the discovery of insulin in 1923, diabetics—as well as consumptives—were often given a substance called Atlantic starch or diabetic sugar, derived from inulin, a naturally occurring form of fruit sugar, extracted from dahlia tubers. Inulin is still used in clinical tests for kidney functionality. The Dahlia symbolizes eternal bonds of commitment, so it is a popular flower of choice for weddings.

Basil
Basil also called great basil, is a culinary herb native to tropical regions from Central Africa to Southeast Asia. In temperate climates basil is treated as an annual plant, however, basil can be grown as a short-lived perennial or biennial in warmer horticultural zones with tropical or Mediterranean climates. Basil is most commonly used fresh in recipes. Basil is one of the main ingredients in pesto, an Italian sauce with olive oil. In Taiwan, people add fresh basil leaves to thick soups. The leaves are not the only part of basil used in culinary applications, the flower buds have a more subtle flavor and they are edible. In folk medicine practices, such as those of Ayurveda or traditional Chinese medicine, basil is thought to have therapeutic properties.

Azalea
Azaleas are flowering deciduous shrubs native to temperate Northern & Southern Hemisphere. Azaleas are generally slow-growing and do best in well-drained acidic soil. They are planted abundantly as ornamental plants. In Chinese culture, the azalea is known as "thinking of home bush" , and is immortalized in the poetry of Du Fu. In addition to being renowned for its beauty, the azalea is also highly toxic—it contains andromedotoxins in both its leaves and nectar, including honey from the nectar.
