🛰🛰 TRACERS says hello from space!

The twin spacecraft launched Wednesday, July 23 at 11:13 a.m. PDT (2:13 p.m. EDT) from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The pair of satellites were released into low Earth orbit and the team established communications with both spacecraft.

TRACERS will study how the solar wind from the Sun interacts with Earth’s magnetosphere, making 3,000 measurements on explosive events called magnetic reconnection.
