Musa Bagh
Musa Bagh was developed as a scenic spot on a sloping ground, close to the serpentine curving riverside. It had a semi-circular portico opening to the river.
Muharram beyond the colors of red and black.
The Hindustani Mohurram that I am a part of, holds no lesser significance in its belief, faith and love.

Visited one of my favorite places in Lucknow after a span of many years. Once it used to be my early morning siting site. It was good to see the place kept clean but sad too as Moosa Bagh in passing the test of time is turning into the ruins of Musa Bagh.
The place is little far from the main city. One can reach the place by taking a right from Sitapur Bypass ahead of Dubagga where after few kms a huge garbage dumping ground can be spotted on the right. Turning right just before the garbage yard one will reach Musa Bagh. Dont miss out on visiting the Kaptaan Shah Baba Ki Mazar also known as Gore Baba behind Moosa Bagh and listen to the stories from locals. There is a Dargah also nearby. Being away from the main tourist area, the place is rarely patronized by visitors and remains one of the hidden architectural jewel of Awadh. Try visiting in the morning as the place is in seclusion from the nearby residential areas and commuting in the dark would not be wise.
