Lakmē Fashion Week x FDCI introduces The Sustainable Fashion Dictionary, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to make sustainability accessible and easy to understand—removing jargon to enable meaningful engagement across the fashion ecosystem.

We at approached the project with a philosophy where design and purpose work in harmony. From carefully selected typefaces to the shimmering gold-foiled cover, every decision was made to reflect the values of conscious fashion.

Sustainability extends beyond content into production. The cover is crafted from recycled denim paper, and the interior pages are made from cotton waste paper—transforming discarded materials into a refined, purposeful publication. Widely recognised by leading designers, media, and academic institutions both in India and across the globe, the dictionary stands as both an educational resource and a tangible expression of responsible design.
