Maharashtra Monsoon.
That one shot that took an entire afternoon to get right. 🗻🚄
Most people see the frame. Nobody sees the 3 hours I spent sitting on that road waiting for this moment.
Here’s the thing — the Shinkansen runs every 10 to 20 minutes. So technically you get multiple chances. Sounds easy, right?
Wrong.
Phone locked on tripod. Frame set. Mount Fuji sitting perfectly in the background. All I had to do was time my pose the exact second the train entered the frame.
But the train moves at 320 km/h. You get maybe 3 seconds. And your body has to react before your brain even processes it.
Miss the timing by a second — ruined shot. Pose off — ruined shot. Train already gone — wait another 15 minutes and go again.
Japan doesn’t give you perfect shots. It gives you perfect windows. And you either catch them or you don’t.
Finally caught mine. 🇯🇵
If you ask me what is the most beautiful place I have ever seen, my answer will always be Dzukou Valley In Nagaland, North East India 🇮🇳.
Not Switzerland. Not the Alps. Not any European village.
A hidden paradise spread across the borders of Nagaland and Manipur, Dzukou Valley feels like a place nature created when it was in its best mood. Rolling green hills stretch endlessly into the horizon, clouds drift through the valley like slow-moving rivers, and during monsoon, thousands of wildflowers paint the landscape in every possible shade. The valley is famous for the rare Dzukou Lily that blooms only here, making this place even more special. The valley sits above 2,400 meters and is often called the Valley of Flowers of Northeast India. (Tourism Nagaland)
What makes Dzukou unforgettable isn’t just its beauty—it’s the feeling. The silence. The endless green. The realization that some places are so beautiful they make you forget every destination you’ve ever visited before.
I’ve travelled far and wide, but if I had to choose one place to return to again and again, it would be Dzukou Valley.
